MINISTRIES
REACHING PEOPLE | KNOWING GOD
Doing life together is essential to spiritual growth, which is why we offer several small group opportunities for you to connect and belong. These groups strengthen our church community and provide a place for meaningful relationships, discipleship, and encouragement. We invite you to join a small Ministry group and grow in your faith alongside others here at SRBC.
Children's Ministry
Children’s Ministry at Seward Road Baptist Church
At Seward Road Baptist Church, we believe children are the lifeblood of our church, and it brings us great joy to hear the pitter-patter of little feet as we gather to worship.
Sunday Mornings
Our children begin each Sunday at 9:45 AM with small group classes designed to help them grow in their faith and build lasting friendships. (Pro tip: a quick breakfast helps them bring their best energy to class!) Following small group, our morning worship service begins at 11:00 AM.
-
Pre-K to 3rd Grade: Children have the opportunity to remain in the children’s room for Children’s Church, where they engage in age-appropriate worship and Bible lessons.
-
4th to 6th Grade: Students join the adults in the Worship Center to participate in worship while deepening their understanding of Jesus.
-
Nursery: For infants through 4-year-olds, we provide a safe and nurturing nursery environment.
Wednesday Evenings – Awana
From October through May, our students gather Wednesday nights for Awana, a ministry focused on helping children grow in their faith through discipleship. Each session includes:
-
Fun activities and games
-
Snacks
-
Bible study
-
One-on-one Scripture memorization with a listener
Awana is a dynamic and meaningful way for children to learn about God while building relationships with peers and mentors.
Our Commitment
Children are a priority at SRBC. Our goal is to guide them toward a clear understanding of who Jesus is and to support their spiritual growth throughout their lives. We offer a variety of activities throughout the year—please check our church calendar to stay informed about upcoming events.
Youth Ministry
At Seward Road Baptist Church, we are committed to investing in the next generation. Our desire is to see students grow in their faith, become equipped to share the gospel, and develop into strong, Christ-centered leaders.
Our Youth Ministry meets every Sunday morning at 9:45 AM for small group Bible study, followed by morning worship at 11:00 AM. These gatherings provide a solid foundation for spiritual growth and meaningful connection.
We also meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM. During this time, students enjoy activities designed to build relationships and foster community before moving into a time of worship and teaching from God’s Word.
Throughout the year, we offer a variety of events to keep students engaged and active in their faith. In addition to smaller activities, we participate in major youth experiences such as Falls Creek and D-Now. Details for these events can be found on the church calendar.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Youth Minister, Maveric Ashley, at maveric@sewardroad.com. He would be glad to assist you in any way he can.

Men's Ministry
The men of Seward Road Baptist Church play a vital role in the life and ministry of SRBC. We believe strong, committed men are essential for leading boldly, serving faithfully, and helping our church fulfill its mission of evangelism and discipleship.
Our men’s ministry, Gap Standers, supports this purpose. The name comes from Ezekiel 22:30: “And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the gap before me for the land.” We believe God is calling men to step forward in leadership, and our goal is to equip and encourage them as they do so.
Gap Standers meets on the second Saturday of each month, from September through May, at 8:00 AM for breakfast and Bible study. These gatherings offer meaningful fellowship, practical teaching from the Word, and opportunities to grow together in faith.
As we continue to expand our men’s ministry, additional events and outings will be added throughout the year. Be sure to keep an eye on the church calendar for upcoming opportunities to connect and get involved.
Adult Bible Studies
Our adult Bible study hour is on Wednesday evenings starting 6pm. As of now our adults meet in the sanctuary and study through a book of the Bible.
In the future, as we grow, we will be adding other options to our Wednesday evening Bible study hour.
Women's Ministry
At Seward Road Baptist Church, our Women’s Ministry exists to encourage, equip, and empower women to grow in their relationship with Christ and in community with one another. We believe women play a vital and God-designed role in the life of the church—bringing strength, compassion, wisdom, and a heart for service that blesses every ministry within our congregation.
Through Bible studies, fellowship events, service opportunities, and discipleship relationships, our Women’s Ministry provides a place for women of all ages and stages of life to connect, find support, and deepen their faith. Whether you are new to church or have been walking with the Lord for many years, you’ll find a welcoming community that desires to walk alongside you.
Women have always played an essential role in Baptist churches, modeling servant leadership, teaching biblical truth, supporting families, and helping cultivate a strong, Christ-centered community. Their gifts and commitment strengthen the entire church body.
We invite you to join us—grow with us, serve with us, and discover the joy of doing life together in Christ.
